Let's Green the Future is an NGO based in Zimbabwe, which aims to promote sustainable development by means of climate action and social empowerment, with a particular focus on women and youth. The organization believes that everyone can make a positive impact on the world and, that by working together, they can create a brighter and more sustainable future for all.
Established in 2015 and officially registered in 2019, the Let's Green the Future Trust endeavors to address environmental and social concerns while empowering marginalized groups through education and other initiatives. The organization is committed to promoting environmental conservation, sustainable livelihoods, and social and environmental justice. The organization has undertaken several projects to promote sustainable development in Zimbabwe, including the creation of community gardens in rural and peri-urban areas. These gardens provide fresh produce to local communities and serve as a source of income for women and youth involved in their maintenance. Workshops and training programs on sustainable farming practices and waste management are conducted to promote environmental conservation and sustainable livelihoods. Let's Green the Future Trust has established partnerships with other organizations and institutions to address climate change and social issues such as mental health, poverty, gender-based violence, and sexual and reproductive health and rights. The organization collaborates closely with local schools and educational institutions to promote environmental education and awareness among youth. One of the ongoing projects is a tree planting initiative designed for urban communities, which has resulted in the planting of over 2000 trees in the community. The project aims to engage 50% of community members in climate action and social empowerment activities. Let's Green the Future Trust is dedicated to creating a sustainable future for all Zimbabweans, with a focus on inclusivity.
